Akere Muna : Une fin de semaine laborieuse à la cérémonie de la Ibrahim Governance Weekend./ An end to the hard week at the Ibrahim Governance Weekend ceremony.

La «Ibrahim Governance Weekend» est l’événement  phare de la Fondation Mo Ibrahim, qui se tient chaque année dans un pays africain différent. Cette année 2018, l’événement a eu lieu à Kigali la capitale Rwandaise.

The Ibrahim Governance Weekend is the flagship event of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, held every year in a different African country. This year the event took place in Kigali the Rwandan capital.

Cet événement de trois jours réunit d’éminents dirigeants politiques et économiques africains, des représentants de la société civile, des institutions multilatérales et régionales ainsi que les principaux partenaires internationaux de l’Afrique pour débattre de questions d’importance critique pour l’Afrique.

This three-day event convenes prominent African political and business leaders, representatives from civil society, multilateral and regional institutions as well as Africa’s major international partners to debate issues of critical importance to Africa.

Le week-end a commencé le vendredi 27 avril  par une cérémonie de remise du prix du leadership, avec l’accueil et la célébration de la Lauréate 2017, Mme Ellen Johnson Sirleaf  ex-présidente du Libéria.

The weekend begins Friday, April 27^th with a Leadership award ceremony, where this year we welcome and celebrate the 2017 Laureate, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf the former president of Liberia.

Une journée entière a été ensuite consacrée au forum Ibrahim, un forum de discussion de haut niveau qui a abordé les défis auxquels l’Afrique est confrontée et a définit les priorités d’action. Le Forum 2018 a travaillé essentiellement sur le service public en Afrique.

A whole day is then dedicated to the Ibrahim Forum, a high-level discussion forum which tackles the challenges facing Africa and sets out priorities for action. The 2018 Forum will focus on public service in Africa.

Le week-end s’est achevé par un concert public mettant en vedette certains des meilleurs artistes du continent.

The weekend concludes with a public concert highlighting some of the best performers of the continent.
